- PAULA EWIN is an award winning professional actress, singer and storyteller. Based in New York City, Paula has worked in theatre, film and television since 1980 and calls the East Village home, after moving here from Times Square in 1988. She holds a BA in Theatre from Rhode Island College, her home state, and is a graduate of the Esper Studio, where she studied the Meisner Technique. As a Founding Member of the acclaimed Off Broadway theatre company, 29 th Street Rep, she appeared in leading roles in over 27 plays including Bible Burlesque (opposite Edward Norton) and Visiting Oliver (OOBA Award Best Actress) written for her by resident playwright, Bill Nave. Highlights of her long career includes playing Katharine Hepburn in Tea at Five all over the country as Kate Mulgrew’s standby and the Broadway tour of On Golden Pond with Tom Bosley and Michael Learned.
In addition, Paula has produced and co-directed a documentary short “Look Here!” A Portrait of Sylvia Sleigh celebrating the Welsh born painter whose works are in museum collections throughout the world. Most recently, Paula played the role of Sharon in Liz Kerin’s film STOP:MOTION, winner of the Miami Women Film Festival.
