Niles Abston is a stand-up comedian-filmmaker from Flowood, Mississippi.
Niles recently wrapped as a writer on Season 4 of the Fox series Krapopolis. Prior to this, he was a writer on Season 3 of the FX series DAVE, where the episode he co-wrote (“Met Gala”) was highlighted in The Hollywood Reporters “The 10 Best TV Episodes of 2023.” He also wrote, directed and starred in “Notice to Quit” which was Vulture’s Must See Comedy Shorts of March 2022. On the stand-up side, Niles produced his debut hour comedy special independently called “GIRLS DON’T TWERK TO JOKES”, which is available to stream on YouTube.
He followed this by shooting his second special, “HOUSEHOLD NAME,” produced by 800lb Gorilla. Last summer, he embarked on his first nationwide tour independently, which sold out. Niles was selected for Comedy Central’s The Standups Season 10 and was featured in the 2024 Netflix is a Joke Festival where he opened for Roy Wood Jr at the Belasco, participated in Freddie Gibbs’ Cokane Comedy at the Hollywood Palladium, and had a stand-alone show at the Westside Comedy Theater. Niles was one of eight comedians selected for this years CBS Showcase.
